Course Description

The course deals with the theory and practice of the art of persuasion and impression management in conflict and in interpersonal and group relations. Within this context we will address the following topics: strategies for building a persuasive message, increasing persuasion and influence skills interpersonal communication, inter-group communication, on media and social networking platforms, and in negotiation and conflict resolution. We will also deal with persuasive, unconscious and conscious persuasion tactics and the secrets of persuasion at the structural, cognitive, emotional and behavioral levels. In addition, the course will deal with strategies for effective impression management, ways to generate motivation, agreement, and increased cooperation in personal, business and diplomatic contexts and in situations of negotiation and conflict.
